Child Protective Services Law

The Child Protective Services Law or CPSL is designed to protect children and provide them with any rehabilitative or other services deemed necessary. The law also makes for the protection, preservation, and stability of the integrity of family life. 

Juvenile Act

The Juvenile Act protects the sanctity and unity of families. The act also removes children from environments seen as detrimental to their development in to adulthood and becoming a respectable member of society.

Adoption and Safe Families Act

The Adoption and Safe Families Act (ASFA) of 1997 aims to improve the safety of children. It also aims to promote adoption and other permanent homes for children who need them, and to support families.

The Multiethnic Placement Act

The Multiethnic Placement Act (MEPA) removes the barriers often associated with permanency to hundreds of thousands of children in the child protective services system. 

Fostering Connections

Fostering Connections brings foster children together with their relatives, promotes permanent families through relative guardianship, and improves education and health care given to foster children.
